OT--eBay problem

Can anyone tell me what is going on with eBay? Seems to take a long time to load anything. This is something new as it has always been as fast as this site or others. Been slow for a few days.
My computer is just as fast with loading on every other site just a problem on eBay.
I have rebooted and cleared history with no increase in speed.

I haven't had any problems. Try different times of the day. I know as with this site pictures load faster in the morning than in the
evenings. I think it depends on how many users are downloading at the same time.. just my thought!

It seem to be the advertisements that come up on each side of page.
After they load, page pops up.

I agree, it's the advertising.

So many of the ads now have embedded video, it requires the latest updated versions of their software to run it. If your computer isn't up to speed, it keeps trying to load something it can't, and everything stops while it tries to figure out what to do.

My home computer is bad about slowing to a crawl until I exit out of everything and start over.

I have an imac and use Apple's free ad blocker. Works great. Some sites detect it and tell me to turn my blocker off to read their news........I
just go elsewhere. Their news wasn't of any interest to me anyway....just a headline popped up on Google and I clicked on it. I am on Satellite
internet and getting rid of all those nuisances that every supplier thinks they have to have in motion these days, really cuts down on consumed
bandwidth that I have to pay for.

There have been cyber attacks this last week/month targeting certain server farms in some areas... If your local dns server is directing you to that set of data centers that are being blasted by the ddos attacks, you will get slow or no service on those web sites only. other web sites from other data centers will work normally. It normally takes the internet providers some time to change out ip address, or block the attacking computers as there are thousands of hacked home computers being used in the attack.

remember the internet is a loose group of millions of companies and there is NO official owner or group that controls it.. So fixes are slow coming...

You aren't the only one..For the past day ebay will not completely
load for me...I can not bid on anything....I am unable to sign in or access my ebay
and I can't pay for items already won...Lots of people across the US have
had problems for weeks...See the link below..

Well I guess I am[i:7925d1cda1] "Somewhat lucky"--[/i:7925d1cda1]I am not having any of those problems yet.
I have a very fast computer where, a few days ago, eBay page would load in a second or less!
Now it sometimes takes 30 seconds to a minute to load.
That is fast to some people but not the speed I am used to.
Just seemed like I had something running and could be advised as what to do.
I can live with it
