They were ahead of their time with that concept.

They also hit a bad time, wasn't the farm economy bad when that came out? The idea of one vehicle, tractor and town runner, was interesting, but the ecconomics weren't there at the time.

Heard the company only made 150 units around '38 - '39. Today they think somewhere between 55-60 units still exist.

Years ago, in 1990 I think, a friend of mine gave $20,000 for one and hauled it home from near Chicago,,we thought he was nuts,, his widow sold it a couple years ago for over $100,000,, I'm thinking maybe only 100 made,,but not sure..

Since they bring such high dollars it's almost a wonder someone doesn't make reproductions, probably have to change things somewhat or get sued. Something like Cummins power would be good. Imagine in the '50s and '60's when "crusing" was in, crusing with these.

Back in the 1980's-1990's I and several other UDLX MM owners complied a
list and ended up with about 80 known tractors..I have pictures of most
of them..So many have changed hands since then that its almost impossible
to keep track of them..Every 2-3 years a new one shows up..There could be as
many as 90 in existence??

Do you know the story on this? Early 60's Chevy p/u cab and hood, what model tractor? Not a bad try at copying, probably didn't have all the frills though.
