I figured since today was pretty decent out I would put the back blade and chains on the 300 today. Has been mild here in wny so far as we are still getting warmth from lake erie. All that can change quick here with lake effect snow if the right air moves across the lake. Keeping my fingers crossed. A lot of our weather here is influenced by the lake. Some good some bad. Some years nothing and some we get a lot. I think two years ago I had to plow the drive every day for almost two months. We were getting a bunch daily. Very unpredictable.

Was it 2005 or 2006 when they had that lake effect storm that ran for like 6 1/2 days? I can't wrap my brain around 183 or185 inches of snow! They had to use an airport rotary plow to dig out the main street of m3xico,ny. Ten or twelve foot drfts in town never mind elsewhere.

I too removed mower, chained up and put plow of Jubilee a few days ago when I had a sunny 50 degree day.

Nothing but rain and near freezing.

February 2007 if I recall right. I live about 12 miles NE of Mexico and we got a lot here too, all I had to plow with back then was a back blade on a MF 35. We got a little boxed in till the town came with a big loader and pushed the snowbank back.

We had what they called the October storm that was I thinking k in 2006. Weather people were calling for a few inches well that wasn't even close. Three years ago we had what they called the November storm. That was bad. I think the town I am at had the highest snowfall. It was crazy ! We got I think if I remember right was around 84 inches in a few days. There were other places that had 12- 15 foot drifts. Not my idea of a good time. Once it gets that bad I just crank up the coal stove and relax. It will pass and clean up when it's done. As long as all the animals and family are good so am I. This crazy weather is normal operating procedure here. I grew up here and that's what happens. You learn how to figure it out.

I'm in Geauga County about 25 miles east of Cleveland. Average is about 105 inches but last year was easy, I don't think we had half of that. The two previous winters were really bad. About 10 years ago we got 30 inches over Easter weekend.

I threw iron last weekend.

Rears on the Ford 4400 Backhoe.
Rears on the Farmall M.
Rears on the Ford 2N.
Rears on the 4 Wheeler.
Dual's on the C60, and singles on the steers.
Fronts and Rears on the K10 Plow Truck.
Neighbors side by side.

Goodness, I think that is it? Took me all morning! :p

Mexico,NY. - You guys are bringing back memories now. I was working at Nine mile 2 back in the spring of '80; couldn't find a place to stay. Ended up staying a night above a bar in Mexico till I found something else.

Zack, I was good friends with Roger and Janet Bristol, owners of Haulsey Equip. Remember going up there to pick up some equipment and there was a line of Case backhoes in their yard. all that stuck out was the top of the hoe booms and an ocasional exaust stack.
Do you know Roger and Janet, and what has become of them. I lost touch with them, after we closed out Case dealership in the fall of 86.

We'd all cry for you if you lived in Montague or Redfield.

It's funny, a guy from Richmond, Va. had to drive a part from there to Watertown a couple Mondays ago. He loved the lake effect but what really stunned him was that everyone was at work when he got there at 7:30 am. He started from Richmond Sunday at 6:00 pm.

Loren, I'm sorry, I never met them. Were they in Mexico or somewhere else in the area? I don't get around much and I've only lived here since 2001 so a lot of folks don't know me.
