Moving dirt.....

When we built our pond 3 yrs. ago we stockpiled all the black dirt we took off the pond site. I was going to use it to build some terraces but changed my mind. We would go one way and get a load and dump-then go the other way and get a load and dump-so we had 2 good sized piles. Our farm has 2 creeks through it and in northeast Iowa if you have a creek you usually have sand knolls along it. That is where we spread the black dirt. The wife would haul and dump and I would load and usually meet her coming back. She kept track of the loads from the north pile and said 208 loads. Lots of climbing in and out of end loader and tractors. Leveled it out with front mount dozer and scraper I built for tractor pull and chiseled it in. Still have the south pile to go.-----Tee

Nice interesting pictures! I like the box scraper in picture 7. Is it completely homemade?

Yes it is. Our American Legion use to put on a tractor pull and I had to be careful who we put in the scraper tractor until I built this scraper. It has a 3 inch angle iron laying flat wise for a cutting edge so you can raise the wheels off the ground and it still won't dig in. It has a 12 volt pump and nozzles on the back for watering the track--it is for sale. Thanks-----Tee
