Just goes to show

First video I thought the guy was operating very careful. Next video is questionable. He should send his wife to the house to make cookies. I would never let my wife tell me how to operate my tractor. In time He will learn how to operate his new tractor. When loading my John Deere I put blocks under my trailer in the back, to keep the truck wheels on the ground, and blocks under the trailer tires, if I'm on any incline. When the rear of the truck comes up all truck braking is gone.Stan

There are some people who just should not have a tractor big tires to pull stumps tractors arent made for a novice to pull stumps.

What I have seen around here the last couple years is people who want to live in the country so they go buy house, property and the "equipment" they think they need. Many have never had anything bigger than a push lawn mower and are dangerous on something bigger. I started at a young age disking with our Oliver 1650. Was maybe eight or nine and dad rode with me. Was so young had to put both feet on the clutch and pull up on the steering wheel to stop. Thing I am saying I had someone teach me. I didn't just get on the tractor and have at it. People like this is what makes accidents. No training or someone to show you what to do usually doesn't end up good. Lots of weekend warriors out there and lots of times doesn't end up like they planned.

He's got several videos. Quite entertaining.

All kidding aside,this is scary.

I own that same tractor with AG lug tires and can tell you for certain he does not have his tractor weight right.

Tractor Operational weight 5392lbs
Loader Operational weight 2008lbs
Cutter 645lbs
Box Blade 470lbs

Total weight 8515lbs

If you noticed the axles on that trailer are only 3500lb axles. He was lucky just to have made it home. Especially with only one strap... YIKES

As to the operations of it he will learn hopefully before he gets hurt. He does need to learn how to use the diff lock.

When I haul mine I use a 14K gooseneck with brakes on both axles. I use grade 100 chain with grade 80 hooks on all four corners with 9600lb ratchet booms on each chain. I also use a grade 70 chain with a 5000lb ratchet boom across the cutter or other implement.

I don't want this guy operating my tractor.....

OK the guy isn't an operator. But to me even tough some of it's questionable he's trying to be careful but just doesn't know what he's doing. The guys around here who get hurt on tractors seem mostly to be the "old hands" who "grew up" on the farm and have been operating for years. Seems they get overconfident and start taking shortcuts with the "I've been doing this for years" attitude. And we have lots of city guys who are buying utility type tractors to mow with and such, most often with a loader around here. But that's also the crowd most of the time that with something like that ditch hire it done.

There's no way that tractor should have been on that trailer. If the loading sent chills down your spine, imagine the drive home, assuming he didn't live directly next to the dealership. It's one thing to kill yourself with stupidity, but when you start endangering others around you, it's not right.
