A cutting torch setup will do. I usually cut a little long, and finish with a grinding wheel. Also a chop saw works good. Then there is the old standby, a hand held hack saw, with a good blade. Stan

They make blades for a regular circular saw that work good too, I'm not talking about abrasive blades but cutting blades. If you have enough budget a band saw is worth it's cost.

Hand held plasma torch. No comparison. Cuts sheet metal and up to 1/4" with a 40 amp. 3/4" with an 80 amp. Air is the working gas, and cuts are mighty clean. Never go back to Oxy Acetylene. Jim

I have used a sawzall on 3/16 steel with pretty good results. My oxy-acetalyne skills are terrible. I have a chop saw but that only works for shorter cuts. gobble

I have a Kalamazoo horizontal band saw that will curt a 10"beam if it is not over about 6" thick. If that fails i have an oxy-acetylene torch. Would like a plasma cutter but can't justify the cost.I don't use the torch enough anymore.

Torch, cutoff wheel, chop saw, cutting blade in an angle grinder. As they've become more popular, I'm using the torch less and less and the cutoff blades more and more because they do a neater job. You can't bead a chop saw for anything it will work on.
