It brought 675,000

What county?? PA has some very good farmland, plus growing season that makes for some interesting double crop scenarios in places. That is a very nice house, too.

Hey not bad. Refreshing to see some land in PA that is somewhat affordable. In Lancaster county that would have hit 1 million easy.
Just by comparison, the large horse farm I worked
on here in NY was offered for 1.2 million, in 2013, it
had 3 houses on the property, 385 acres, a 40 stall
horse barn, a 20 stall barn a 8 stall stallion barn, a 6
stall quarantine barn and a 24 stall foaling barn. The
place sat for 2.5 years and finally was sold for less
than $700,000, I think $650 thousand or so. It was a
steal.

Highest price property around sold for $10,000 per acre and old house needing work and falling down buildings. Don't know who bought it but it was thought that it was just bought by some big live stalk place just to be able to have enough acres for their manure even if they never haul to the place would give enough acreage to meet the goverment requirements for manure disposal. This was about 3 year ago and it will never raise enough to make the payments. House is still standing but will probably be torn down as the other buildings have been. Some in family would have liked to keep the place but it had to sell as in estate and the ones that would have liked to keep it could not.
