LED headlight

I have a 601 that I converted to 12v and I need to replace the headlights. Has anyone found a suitable 5-3/4" LED headlamp that fits properly in the headlight bucket? I see there are lots of Harley headlights in this diameter but I don't know about the fit. It seems too that a flood pattern would be better than a hi or lo beam headlight. Anyone with first hand experience with this?

use stock ones and wire them in series

There are very bright LED lamps that fit the sockets. They use less current and are way bright. Jim

That will only work with negative ground. Diodes only transmit energy in one direction. Of course I found that out the hard way.

Sure that only work with positive to positive, I just added an led work light to my old positive ground tractor, just wire the red wire to ground instead of the power wire...

Just a thought; I got my Farmall H all ready for Christmas parade, repainted etc., and the old 2-position headlights light up on dim with a soft yellow, and the brights light up a brighter yellow. Which I have come to like. I think it looks very nice on an older tractor. Sort of like MOm's buttery biscuits on a winter morning. I know I know LED's would really light up the world, I just don't want the look.

Brown Swiss, do you recall which product you got and do you have them on an old ford? I see they list a 5-1/2" sealed beam replacement, my old lamps measure 5-3/4" diameter. I'm not sure what they are measuring either though.

Great for Christmas parades but terrible for plowing snow, loading logs, firewood or anything else you might need to do in the dark. I have been changing everything I own to led and couldn't believe how much better they are, much better light and over a wide angle

I just needed a couple 4 1/2" bulbs for my 2705 Massey. I googled 5 3/4" LED head lights and came up with a sparse list of them, one for 48 dollars for a Harley that I have no idea if it will fit, the rest were up in the 150 dollar and more range. Good luck with it.
