Walmart on-line orders....bad

If business is shifting to on-line ordering, Walmart is in big trouble.
Last week I ordered 3 items. One on Amazon, one on ebay, one on Walmart.
Got great communication from Amazon and ebay. Website easy to use. Items received quickly.
Walmart 10 days no item, no communication, difficult site to use.

Old Sam would be rolling over in his grave.

Don't know. I don't buy much from WalMart, but I got my elliptical from them in January. It was here in two days Fed-Ex with free shipping.

I have never used Walmart on-line ordering, but our son and daughter in law purchased a small chest freezer from them. Delivered on time and just as ordered. They were pleased.

A couple of months ago I ordered a tool box on line from Walmart and then they said it would arrive in three weeks. 3 weeks? you got to be kidding. then was pushed back further. I called and really explained my displeasure with the order time frame and all of a sudden she could reorder the box and would arrive in 5 days, at least a week earlier than the original order. It came in 7 days but still ahead of the original order. Then about two weeks later I GOT A CALL TO COME PICK UP MY original ORDER. What a mess.

The few times I went to their site I could not get it to load and work right. At least they did price match their own site at a local store on some shelves I bought. I tried that at TSC and they would not price match their own website. I sort of got the last laugh as I went back to the site to get a shipping quote and noticed free shipping to the store ! Took awhile to get maybe 2 weeks tops ? but I saved 1/2 price !

WalMart is trying to compete with Amazon. Seems that they don't have a clue as to how it is supposed to work, so I refuse to participate in that game. I very rarely darken WalMarts doors, and when I do, more often than not I walk out empty handed.

A lot of the items on the Walmart site are actually coming from other vendors. That means the item is not actually "in stock" somewhere in the Walmart warehouses.

Once ordered, the delivery depends on how quick the vendor ships.

Walmart rarely has the best price on the items I buy therefore I do not feel like I am missing out when I drive by one of their stores. TSC and Advance Auto are within a half mile of the local Walmart.

Walmart might being playing the same game Central Tractor played years ago with vendors. Things do not ship promptly because there is an agreed to order minimum to get a discount price from the vendor. Walmart decides its cash is better used in some sort of short term interest bearing checking account so the order does not ship until Walmart has paid its bill which is late but cheaper due to the made interest. Most Walmart vendors do not dare say boo in terms of throwing financial penalties such as late fees. Back to Central Tractor it was a good place to do business even if some of the items lacked in quality but once they started the game playing they drove customers away in mass.

I buy quite a bit from Walmart online now that I have boycotted Amazon over the owner's political BS. I feel like I get good service from Walmart.

never bought from walllymart online. probably won't only go in there about 2x a year.

have had big problems with ammmazonns 3rd party suppliers. then took 2-3 weeks to get it canceled

bought both items on ebbuy and got them in 2 days for less $.

Don't use the Site to Store service if you need the item in a timely manner or if you expect good service. They took 2 1/2 weeks to ship an item we had ordered as a shower gift. The shower came and went before the item arrived even though we were assured by a customer service rep that it would arrive on time. And when it finally did arrive, they refused to let me pick it up for my wife! I guess that is the price you pay for "free shipping." Site to Store? Never again.

I've ordered from WM online a few times. They always send a confirmation e-mail and another when it's shipped. I don't believe it's taken over 5 days before delivery. I agree their site could use some improvement. There are a few things that I usually by from WM and anything that keeps me out of the store building is a plus.

I buy off eBay, Amazon, and Wal Mart. All places can take weeks to get if orders come from China. I've had my share of bad experiences from eBay and Amazon even with great communications.

One order from Amazon never arrived even though seller said it was had been shipped. Two months later Amazon gave me credit. Never got package.

I've had good luck ordering on line from Walmart, but Walmart was the actual seller, not same different vendor using Walmart's website and distribution system.

A few months ago my wife found a 160 dollar charge on my credit card from amazon. When I called I was told they had offered me a prime membership for 160 bucks and I didn't let them know I didn't want it so they charged my card anyhow. Last week I sent back a 300 dollar item that didn't work and my money was supposed to be refunded. Instead of putting it back on my credit card they gave me a store gift card to only spend with them. I called and they refused to return my money. I never had problems like that with walmart.

Amazon has always made it right with me. I also love amazon prime movies more than free shipping on some items. Don't have cable of satellite. Instead we use prime movies more than Netflix. $99 a year for prime and $7/mo for Netflix. $7 x 12 = $84 a year.

I ordered assorted small-engine gas lines from Amazon THREE TIMES starting way back in the spring, from ostensibly three different sellers. Each time I got a notice that the items had been shipped two days after ordering. Each time ... nothing showed up more than a month after being told they had shipped. Amazon has been great at crediting me for the non-shows, but how frustrating. I think it was all a scam.

Nope,it was through amazon. When i've returned anything before they put it back on my credit card.
