Check back in a couple of days - Celebrating a World Series right now!
Come back soon

Is it over?
Good.
Now that the children have had their silly fun maybe we can get back to having substantive, adult conversations again.

Yes it's over you can go back to being a dull adult. I don't know of a real farmer that doesn't indulge in some other activity to break the grind of everyday work. Especially this year with the farm economy as it is. The most interesting people still hold to some of their childhood.
I enjoyed watching most of the series this year. I was kinda for the Cubs but it would have been OK with me if Cleveland had won too. I didn't see the end last night, my eyelids got in thee way.

Yup. And some of them actually do things.
Like play violin or piano, sing in a choir,
read books, write children's stories,
volunteer at a shelter, VFW or campaign or
tutor kids in math and reading instead of
sitting on the couch on an emotional roller
coaster, filling their minds with a lot of
meaningless names, statistics and game
history and then feeling entitled to pollute
every venue, every conversation, every place
they go with silly talk about their favorite
hobby.

Good series. Full seven games. I didn't see the end though. Had to call it quits at the rain delay. Eyelids wouldn't co-operate. Dog had to go outside, so I checked in again just after the celebration started.

I think at the rain delay,,the cubs had a pep talk,,they said//we cant let Kruser down lets go!,,,,,Kruser,,Im glad they won ,dont know much about baseball, but Im glad they won because you wanted it

Agreed. I take actually doing something over watching someone else do something anyday!

I'm happy for the Cubs and their fans....Zobrist brought you guys some good luck..He sure helped my Royals win it in 2015..I wish that they had tried to keep him..

Right on Kruser. 2 great road wins to finish it off and a Central Illinois player came through for the Cubs. Cleveland has a great team that came back to tie the game but the Cubs bounced back.

Sports posts sure bring out the best in some, can't just let it go but need to get themselves all riled up in telling you how your wasting your time. Well its my time and whether I tuned into the game after teaching fourth graders at Wednesday nite church or after the American Legion meeting does not really matter. After all it is my time. gobble

It must be miserable to be you. If you don't like baseball that's fine. I know of band teachers, preachers, old tractor enthusiast and any other group that you can think of that have child molesters, thieves liars and even murderers in their group. If you don't want to participate in the conversation don't click on the topic. No one wants to hear your negativity anyway.

You think its awaste of time and childish. Yet you post every time someone talks about sports. Don't read the post. We just disagree on the use of our free time. have a nice evening. gobble

That was a VERY good game. I watched all 7 with the wife. She and I are not really sports fans, but I do like to watch baseball. Always watch the a World Series no matter who is playing. I'm glad the Cubs won after 108 years though, that has to feel good. I'm glad for them.

I have met some damm nice folks at a baseball game. I have became best friends with one I happen to come across at a baseball game, My son became his son's best friend. Baseball paid for 67 1/2 percent of my son's collage education :)... Six and a haft years worth that's hard to beat...

You never know till you try... 8)
