Here's one of the M1 Tank's under going drawbar pull. There were two versions, one made by Chrysler and one by General Motors that had a diesel engine and Chrysler had the turbine engine. Both vehicles perform well. I was sent to Detroit to install instrumentation, but I wasn't allowed so it was a wasted trip. We had to use an M88 Recovery Vehicle hooked in reverse on the last trailer for load. This was at Aberdeen Proving Ground in MD. I retired in 1989 after 39 years and that included 2 years in the Army. Hal

Are you even allowed to show or have taken this photo? LOL, of course. My best friend that I've know for over 35 years works there now and won't talk one word about anything he does. Scared to death someone's eavesdropping. We could be miles out in the woods alone, mums the word.
