Earth force ef3

Hello, I'm new to this form. I have recently purchased a 2000 Earth force ef3 backhoe. I just recently had an issue with I think the hydrostatic pump. It stopped going forward and backwards. I've had the hydrostatic pump out and shipped up to a guy in Ohio that works on these machines. Everything checked out in the pump. Is there anybody that is familiar with these machines and could maybe get in contact with me. Thanks Chuck

I have a Bobcat B300, which is a later model of the EF3. If it is like mine, all the pumps and motors for tractor movement are controlled by electric controlled valves. Sounds like you are not using the proper procedure, or you have an electrical problem.
First put shuttle lever in neutral.
should have a green button on the left side of dash. Push it to turn on. Red button on right side should go to off.
place shuttle lever to either forward or reverse.
If you place shuttle lever in either forward or reverse before pushing green button, machine will not move.
You need to do this every time the engine is shut off. The default is to disengage the transmission and apply the parking break.
Anytime the red button is pushed, the parking brake is applied. The shuttle lever needs to be in neutral before you push the green button. If you have the shuttle lever in forward or reverse and push the green button, the machine will not move.
