massey 3165 TDH oil

Recently obtained a Massey Ferg 3165 with the 3ph not working.Transmission oil is creamy, probably from water getting in from a bad high-low range lever and shuttle lever boot. I've been reading all comments in YT about M1129A oil recommended for this machine. I've got 2 new 5 gallon pails of john deere hy-gard hydraulic and transmission oil I'd like to use but AGCO crosses hy-gard over only to M1135,M1141,M1139,and M1143. Any help appreciated

Not saying you should use it but if it was mine I would. As long as it's a reputable brand and designated tdh we use
It and haven't had any issues as of yet.

WEll, if it was me I'd find a manual and see what it says. I never have liked risking damage by using the wrong fluid, when I could find the correct. My Massey manuals says to use Permatran III, and the stuff I have found is called Champion 4000, and on the back is a long long list of equivalent lubricants, that this stuff meets or exceeds, and one listed is Permatran III. So I use it.
