Buying used tractor warning

Picked up a 1964 Ford 4000 last year. Used it several times. One tire was leaking calcium, so I did a complete tire removal, weld, wire wheel, paint, remount without calcium. (I have weights). So I just went to do the other side, don't want the calcium, to my surprise, other tire was not loaded. So when I bought it, 1 loaded, 1 not. I guess I should of checked, the guy I bought it from was flipping it, so he would not have know.
(Explains why it was not gripping in snow last year)

A guy near me bought one off a local jockey. It had pure water in the tires.Must have hauled it up from the south.

Sounds like it might have been a moldboard plow tractor. Previous owner only loaded the on-land wheel. Does it look like the other tire had ever had fluid?

Yes, it should have had the traction tire loaded. BUT, if you think
about it the left wheel will break traction a bit easyer so maybe it
was almost righ? Should we just sit and scratch our head?

Probably had a flat at one time and lost the fluid. They didn't bother loading it again.

A neighbor bought one from a jockey that must have come out of the south too. It got real cold over night one night. He said he was sitting at the table drinking coffee the next morning with the sun shining. He said it had a strange glimmer on the side of the block. The engine and radiator were full of water and frozen and split the block. It was starting to thaw and run down the side.

Bought a MF 65 from a guy that I worked with, went to change oil after couple years (not used very much) there was no oil filter in canister. Said something to guy I bought tractor from he just shured his shoulders and said nothing.

You've been running the tractor and didn't realize one side was loaded and one side wasn't? Hard to believe.I'd be more worried about the side that was loaded and leaking.

No big deal, don't live in hilly area, but if I did, I would think roll over would be easier with 400#s on on side and 0 on the other.
