A friend called last night to tell me about this estate sale today thats 30 miles from me...Even though
I want to go I'd probably better stay at home....Think what this would have been worth for scrap just
2 years ago..Check out all the pictures..
Estate Sale

Mine too...I'm afraid that if I go I'd buy something that I really don't need like what looks like an Allis 40 combine,JD baler with engine,Woods Brothers one row picker-etc..

1206SWMO,

I think you need to go... and buy that GMC tow-truck. :)

Sure wish it was a nearby sale. I'd be there for sure - just watch everything sell and to take pics. It's definitely my kind of sale.

What is this thing from the estate sale?

Well, there's a lot of stuff there but in my opinion , most of it is beyond restoring , the tow truck could be , if you have ever restored vehicles you know the cost and most of it isn't worth it. The Oliver could be and the M, much for parts...6 Cents a pound for the bulk of it !

This is a hog oiler. The tank to the right is filled with used engine oil and hogs rub against the roller to oil themselves to keep lice away. EPA FDA and other agencies would frown or even scream!

Thanks! the only one I had ever seen looked like two gears out of a car rear end. I stayed as far away from hogs as I could get.

If it would have been close to me I would have been interested in those steel wheel mowers, the 4 wheel hay rake and the corn binder even tho it was a PTO unit. The McCormick No. 7 & 9 and Deere Big 4 mowers bring big bucks. One of them rebuilt to field ready retails for $1,500+. The 4 wheel rakes are getting very hard for me to find even for parts to rebuild others. And a ground drive corn binder working condition is over a thousand. Those McCormick seed boxes that I saw in the picture are worth money by themselves but a McCormick planter those fit on if either a 2 row or 4 row if it is a clutch lift also very desire able And a 4 row ready for the field is also over a thousand.

I love to go to those auctions but they're kind of sad.
20 years ago those cars/trucks were worth a fortune.
5 years ago they were worth half a fortune in scrap price.
Now, most of them are not worth dragging home.
That's what makes it sad.
They could be parted to the right people I suppose.
