Anyone one here running for office this election?

I'm on the board of my rural water supply. I agreed to run last year on the understanding I would not serve as a officer. member only.

I served three, three year terms on the select board and a few on the budget committee. I have been trustee of the trust funds for fifteen years. I don't sign up to run, and I have not been successful at finding someone else to do it, so I just keep getting sworn in again for another year.

Nope not for any state or municiple or federal offices. I'm running for my Locals Union President seat, does that count? Currently I am the Local's president and looking for another 2 year term. We currently have 238 members. Election is Nov. 9th.

Nope. I'm appointed. County's broke, township's broke,I'm not getting my fingerprints on either of those train wrecks.

I'm clerk for a local fire district and no one wants to run for my position. Someday when I decide to give it up I will have to beg someone to run for the trustee position.

I served 7 years in three positions of town government years ago. The only conservative on the county legislature begged me to run a couple years back, and join him on that board. Now he's been knocked off of that. I told him I had decided that the only way I would run again was if I retired from farming, and if I do retire, I won't be here in the winter!

Don't want no county or state office job. Our county commissioners must be related to Brownback. Spent a lot of money in the last four years and really jumped the mill levy.

The question made me think: The national election sure does make it clear why good, competent candidates are reluctant to run for the office of president, leaving us with the dregs. Who needs that kind of trouble?

sitting this one out . gonna get healthy and run for commissioner again in 2018..I was 3rd district commissioner of Harrison county from 2003-07 ,Got Farmland preservation going , I feared the Council would not continue to fund my efforts , So I Ran and went to county council at large in 2008, ,coupled with the efforts of George Rogers Clark Land Trust ,we continue to preserve farmland in Harrison county and adjoining counties as well . , I will complete my 2nd term on the county council at the end of yr,,.. it was a very good privelage and honor to serve ,and I was blessed with a lot of good minds and helping hands that helped me get things done,. BUT ,i got health problems , and I Need a break ,.ie/// this past march 7th they cut me open and took a foot of my colon out that was cancerous,. I have completed 12 chemo treatments ,, I am now cancer free,,but still feeling the after affects of chemo nearly a month later .//. although beforehand I had said I would take ,another term on the council ,. as soon as I found what was dealt me I decided against pushing a hard run , although I idled back, I did not suspend my campaign ...I spent 422 bux on my campaign while the other 4 spent thousands and I lost by 100 votes,,. finishing with7500votes behind the top vote getter who had 7900,there were 4 of us within 500 votes of one another ,. the at large council selects the top 3 vote winners of each party in the primary election to run in the fall,.those top 3 winners will be the 3 new council members,,,. in 2 yrs we will elect 4 district members
