Will this tune up kit work

I have a 69 3400 gasser and need to give er a tune up. The site doesn't list a kit for the 3400 but they have one for the 3000

Will this work? My plan is to get this thing back on track before the snow flies. I've tried contacting the site with no luck

Thanks

Your 3400, for all intents and purposes, is a 3000 with a heavier, non adjustable front axle.
Same engines, chassis, rear end, 3 point, etc.
And yes, except for front axle parts ask for things for a 3000 as many parts suppliers don't know what a 3400 is.
That said, as much as I love YT and support them by buying all my parts from here I would go to Napa and buy Blue Streak or Echlin points. A lot of points found at farm stores and online sellers are cheap and the rubbing block wears off or the contacts pit quickly. I would buy the parts individually- points, condenser, cap, rotor. Not a kit. You'll pay more but get good quality that lasts for years. Those 3 cylinder gassers are a pia to put points in anyway.
Get the right spark plug wires for it too with the correct boot that covers the hole to prevent junk from getting in the hole. Don't buy generic wires for it.

That's what I figured and recall from possibly you in another thread. I have a cap, dust cover and specific wires. They didn't have points, condenser or plugs.

And, while you're there buy a tube of Blue Streak points grease - It makes them last! 8)

So, are all points the same? I googled and found a post from this site from 2009 regarding the topic but it was in the 8n 9n forum. I'm about to google even deeper but I wanted to ask.

Going to head out tomorrow to pick up an alternator, points and condenser to start work on the tractor.

I found part numbers but they are for 8/9n tractors, will they cross over to the 3000 series? I'm having a hard time finding ones that aren't Chinese crap.

As ULTRADOG states "echlin or blue streak".Echlin offers 2 grades of points.Go for the higher grade.Costs more but worth the difference.

Yea, I'm getting the echlin points and condesor, also getting an alternator while I'm there to replace the bad generator ( tore apart and found broken wire for the field magnets and filled with crud), on top of bad regulator
