Just remember you were doing maybe 30mph with that rig and you were
really flying. The crauler looks more like the Holt machines when the
two companys merged. It says cat but....

Yes they rebadged them to keep production flowing until they released new models.

No rougher than the cat! And really I bet that right didn't go much over 15mph on flat ground

My dad had a 1928 Mack bulldog chain drive you can put different tooth sprocets on them so you have super slow - to flying down the road with the fire truck sprokets. We had 5hose on the truch so you got about 30 out of it. I don't remember the tooth count but it does make a big differance. The truck came with the super low gears and a pet snail could give you a run for your money.

I've just gotta see that place. I have been at the truck stop several times but never had the time to visit the museum. I drove past it on 80 three weeks ago on my way to my sis's in the Quad Cities but as usual didn't think I had the time to stop. If that truck could get up to 15 mph that's five times faster than it would take driving the crawler to the destination. I'll bet it wouldn't average much above 10 MPH. How many HP would it have? 50 at t he most?
