That's thinking. Smart minds think alike.When I did a lot of tree trimming . I would lay ropes in the pickup bed, over the cab. When I had a load I would pull the ropes over the top of the load. at the dump I would have the tractor operator pull the load off. Stan

Oooo that is sneaky! When I dump mine, most of the time it slides out. Tell ya what I did. My machine was like brand new when I got it and I WAXED the inside of the trailer. Works pretty darn good. If yours isnt all scratched up give it a try.

I have a three bag powered grass catcher for use with my B1750 HSD Kubota that I bought only to collect leaves.

Worked great but I decided to remove the trees and have not used it in 15+ years.

I don't pick my leaves up I grind them up and blow them back on yard.

I pick up my leads for the gatden. This year I'm mixing leafs with wood chips and last years horse poo mulch, then till them in garden after frost. Trying to break up the clay brick like soil.

That's a neat idea Geo. I have one of the original DR leafers that looks almost identical to yours. So I had that problem too. Nice thing about your design is that what leaves that are left aren't packed and if you tilt the box they will mostly all fall out. I had a yard rake at the compost pile to pull them out in years past and yes it was the biggest pain in operating the vacuum.

This year I bought one of their canvas topped ones that are a lot easier to dump and are made to run behind a ZT. I bought the smallest one they make to get around the yard better. Plan is to setup a dump site, dump the small one in a pile, use the hammermill on the original one to suck up the pile and dump it in my JD "poop" spreader and take that out to my hay patch and spread it out. Ought to work real well.
