I saw this truck in the parking lot at work today, and thought it looked pretty cool. The driver wasn't around, so I couldn't get any details.

Super nice. Funny Dodge trucks didn't follow the paths of F and C. Nothing wrong with their reliability. Maybe they paid too much attention to "working trucks" and forgot about the "Cowboy Cadillac". I'm guilty, I bought them all. Dodge served me well. Bought Chevy this time because it was the closest dealer and a mom and pop...er ah son now shop. Not sorry.

I remember riding in a local parade in a green one, about 1949 model (that one isn't far from that vintage) with my dad (driving) and my older sister....she had to have the door.....ugh!!!! Ruined the whole day.......I wanted the door......WAAAAAAAAA.
 
By the looks of the grill it looks to be about a 1950 model. I always liked those trucks just didn't take the MI salt to well. Old 6 volt would just turn over and start no matter how cold it was out even at -20.
 
It had Conneticut plates - they use less salt than they do here in NY. I would like to have been able to ask the guy what it has for power. I think most of the big trucks were gas back then - I'll bet it's thirsty if it is.
 
My guess would be that is just an old Dodge cab attached to a modern or newer truck chassis. Dodge never had wheels and fender flares like that way back then. Nicely done though.
 
I have never seen an old Dodge set up like that.....nice. I wonder if the cab was set on the frame & not a factory built truck. Either way, I like it.
 

Dodge did make a truck tractor from that model in the Fifties, Also a Tandem axle cab chassis.

It wasn't "Dolled up" like that though.
