Don't pull any more of the parsnips- they don't turn sweet until after a couple of frosts. Heaven knows they aren't that great even then, but pretty nasty if you pull them early.

My brother in ND says the deer are in his yard every night. He doesn't raise a garden anymore because of the deer, plus the fact that they spend the winter in AZ. He hasn't seen the mother moose and her young ones in the last 3 weeks; he's wondering if someone did some early poaching or they just moved on.

Nice variety of produce. A friend gave me a good size box of parsnips years ago; I checked them as baggage for the flight home from Billings, Montana. I can imagine that the TSA folks would have a fit if I tried that now.

everybody plants turnips in food plots, but I Hsve found that our deer love beet tops and sweetpotato vines better than anything else.I hope the guys that hunt our land get some deer,Im just about out of venison in our freezer. The wife wont eat it,but I Like it,and it goes good with all the frozen vegs and tomatoes that are in the freezer and jars

Larry everything looks so nice and green......... here in Alabama we are dry everything is brown our garden is just dead...I enjoy you photos
