I am getting too old to pick up all the heavy things
around here. Found this on CL. I am pretty excited .about having a loader. It seems to be lightly used. 2000 Ford 1975

That is a pretty sweet little rig. I'd guess you got it right because it's lost some of its shine. Very handy size.

Nice outfit. These, what I call "modern", heavy loaders set way out front, and tractors are seldom ballasted properly for them. When we put a similar loader on a 75 HP tractor(which already had the tires loaded for field work) a small three point hitch backhoe really offset the loader weight nicely.

I added a box blade in back of my tractor don't want to add to much counter weight will not break my loader that way. Randy

(quoted from post at 17:06:24 10/02/16) I guess I'll end up doing the barrel of concrete counter weight solution. The tires are loaded, but no weights,

When I was a kid no one had FWA so they all had a barrel of concrete or rocks or old iron on the back.

Is it a Dunham? That loader is made for a 60 horse tractor, not a light 30 horse. Watch that you do not overload it and break the front end down.

The cheap way to add wt. is too fill car tires with concrete 4-5 inches thick makes about 300lb. With a 1-2 in. Pipe thru the middle.
Stack 3or4 on hozizontal links and drawbar, can be removed easily if desired. A light chain thru the pipes holds in place. The rind tire makes easy to roll around and you only have to lift one side at a time.

Got what looks like the same Farmhand loader on a Ford 5000, works well.

Mine had 8 sets of holes in the bucket for bolt on teeth, made my own, works better in straw and hay now.

Nice, I converted mine to a quick attach but never got around to putting it back on other than test out hooking it up a few times.
A set of Ford Pie weights would be on my Christmas list, its still not enoufh counter weight but a start. Once you get enoufh counter weight on the back you will see how much easier it makes doing loader work 2 are 4WD. That setup will move the desire to own 4X4 loader tractor to the top of your wish list.
