Weird weather

I used to think that you could look to the west and know what is coming, look to the east and know what went thru, but not this year. We were supposed to have several dry days, but a weak system just slid back from the east and gave us a couple days of drizzle and clouds. It seems like the humidity never moved out this year. We have got cold fronts, but they just fizzle out and do not provide cool dry weather.

Eastern Iowa here.

I know what you mean David, it has been very strange for the last few days to watch the clouds approaching with their ominous darkness from the east here in MI

Same thing here in western Iowa today, the mist moved in from your way. Yesterday we had decent weather combining beans our first day out, today didn't spin a wheel hopefully the next 2 days we can make tracks before the system out west brings some rain.

Yesterday the weather guy On TV said this is the same weather that came down from MN., skipped over us, went to Virginia and up to Mich. and is now coming back to the west. Rained a little last night, was partly sunny and nice this morning, started mowing the lawn at one and got rained out in 10 minutes. Started again at 2:30 and it starting misting again and by 5 I was rained out again. Although I noticed a combine running a half mile East in the rain all afternoon and he was still out there a half hour ago, don't remember what's planted over there but it's got to be damp I would think.

Doesn't this usually happen around hurricane season? The hurricane follows the coast up blocking our weather from going through like normal. Ember days said next two months cold and wet December a little warmer and dry.

That miserable low has been sitting over us for almost a week now. I guess there's a system off the east coast keeping it from moving off. Could be worse I guess. About four or five years ago, that same thing happened for the whole month of April and most of May. I finished planting silage corn the 23rd of June that year.

Getting darn tired of just starting something outside, only to be rained off. Then go inside and the rain stops/ Not getting anything done this way. Maybe next week.
