I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I assume it's a "typo" and they either left a zero off the end or a one off the beginning. :) Either way, I always apply that old "If it sounds too good to be true...." :)

First one is a 9N or 2N (both are less desirable than an 8N), and how long has it been parked? Looks like several years. All things considered, its probably priced about right, unless he gets it running.

Second one is a scam, that's posted everywhere, everyday, and many similar.Scammers just trying to get a wired down payment from people.Must work, because it's been going on for a long time.

Like somone else said, it is not an 8n but a 9n (9n first produced in 1939) 8n in 1948. 9n has less gears power and options than an 8n. I don't know where the picture of the casting came from that has 8nxx on it but it is a 9n or 2n which was the WWII stripped version of the 9n (came out in 1942) . Big wheel hubs which are not interchanable make it a 9n. painted with 8n colors which is typical.

Kinda debatable there.
I had a 2N and liked it when I started out.
But I wanted the better features of an 8N.
So I traded up.
But I was so completely disgusted with that Way Too Fast reverse speed that I got rid of it and bought my first 3 cylinder Ford.
The gears on the 9/2Ns are much better imo.
