NH 353 feed grinder?

I just bought a real nice low wear NH 353 grinder mixer. It has only ground ear corn and we need to speed up the intake auger for shelled corn. It now has a 59 tooth sprocket and NH has several available a 17, 26 and a 42 tooth. The sprockets are expensive and I only want to buy one. Which one should I buy? Anyone have a 353 that they could check what tooth sprocket they use? It is a splined shaft so I can not but a weld on hub and make one. Anyone know of any feed grinder parts yards? Thanks Tom

Buy a gear blank for the ratio you need. Have the existing gear machined off to the hole size then welded on the old hub. Jim

Jaeckel Brothers in Jefferson WI has several NH grinders in their salvage collection. The advice about just having the old one machined down and welding on a new blank to the old hub is solid advice though. Been there and done that!

If you are grinding out of a bin just dump in top of hammermill, this is a lot faster than the auger.
