John Deere 45 combine

I have a chance to buy a John Deere 45 roundback combine with a hercules engine is there a engine rebuild kit available? does that have the deck style sleeve? how hard is it to install those kind of sleeve all at the sametime? or should I stay away from this one? anything else I should be caution of in the 45 combine? thanks Howard

The deck type sleeves are with the John Deere engines. The Hercules is a cast-en-block engine so you will need to open it up and see if it has been bored to an oversize.

Is that the 45 HIgh or the 45 Hi-Lo? completely different engines and I think the Hi was a flat head while the Hi-Lo was an overhead.
