Go to Ebay and there is a seller from IN that sells a seal and retainer that is much better than the Deere one. His uses a newer Deere seal that he makes a holder for. Make sure to replace the bushing and remove all side to side play. If shaft shows wear replace it as well and usually the front draw bar pivot bushing as well. We do several a year and the IN seals are the best I have found. Tom

Ditto get Bolings Mach shop bush/seals if bushings are worn enough to require replacing.

Drain hyd oil,put L/D lever under seat in "D",remove end caps, support drawbar support with jack or come-along,slide shaft out, lower drawbar support, inspect bushings & shaft closely for wear,R&R seals. Reassemble in reverse order.

No bleeding required. If air happens to get in either hyd pump just cycling steering &/or other hyd function will disperse any air.
what about front-end loader. does it need bleeding?

L/D bushings for 2510 & 3020 are the same part number. Are you attempting to install bushings with the correct end towards trans case? Here's the spec's for JD bushing.
