I've pretty much got the mechanical stuff done and am changing fluids before prepping for painting. I had looked in the rear axle/differential and could see fluid. I removed the drain plug after somewhat of a struggle and nothing came out. Curious, I stuck my little finger up the hole. Once the accumulated crud was moved out of the way the fluid drained nicely down my arm, etc. My glasses will not rust now! This is why I love working on these old machines. Flushing is next on the schedule.
 
you have the knowledge that you are probably the first one to have changed that oil since it left the factory. As long as some balls or rollers from a bearing don't come out with the oil all is good
