Went to the Barron County museum in Cameron WI today. Really enjoy seeing their displays so I took a few pictures. It took about 2 hours to go through with the kids constantly dragging us faster than I wanted to go lol.

I'm really not sure. I'm guessing some sort of tillage implement, but it's in transport mode. There were a couple guys wondering that too about the time I took the picture. I wish I had taken more pictures since they have a small village set up and lots of interesting things there, but I thought I would keep it tractor related.

What is the yellow implement in the last picture? Seems to have a hydraulic cylinder beside the seat. Ben

That was a tree transplanter. I didn't get a real good pic but I remember it had a flathead that powered it.

Turn over and hook behind the plow to work the ground as you plow. Only I have never seen one with 4 gangs like a normal disk, only with 2 gangs like an offset disk. Made in 3 and 4 bottom plow sizes. In size for a 2 bottom plow would bounce around too much to follow and work corectly being too narrow.

Its been many years since I've been there. They sure have added a lot. Will have to go again. they are never open when I pass it on the way to the sales barn. thanks for posting

Thanks for the pictures. Had a neighbor back then who had a cockshutt combine like that one. On wet ground he could keep moving with the turf style tires where the tractor lug ones would dig in and get stuck. Had another neighbor who had an Oliver combine with airplane type tires on it and it was the same.

The contraption that was a manure loader made my day. Especially after reading the placard. Hilarious and I hope I don't dream about the "manure thrower" tonight.

Maybe they could have tried oversized golf clubs. Bet it was abandoned because Mama couldn't stand doing the laundry after Pop used that thing. Hard to think about them not having a loader tractor back then.

I have one, but cannot remember what it is called. My uncle told me it was used to break up the soil after it rained and the ground got hard on top. I visited the museum earlier this summer for the first time. I thought that manure stacker was a rather unusual piece.

Thanks Leroy, I've never seen or heard of this before. Any idea what the official name would be?
