I took the tie rod off and beat it on the anvil till I was able to get both ends to move inward. I soaked it with my favorite penetrant and food a suitable tree to anchor to with my old Hough on the other end. I think I could have used the gator cause it about fell apart.

Does anyone know where I can get more of this Certified labs Free penetrant? I really works great to breakdown old grease and rust much better than kroil

Pic didn't add like it was suppose to. Think I missed a step.

Glad you were able to get the tie rod apart. Old anvils come in handy at times.

As for your spray lube I found this site sells it. It is not cheap, $24 a can.

We use to have a guy that came around selling free and stuff called tekusolv that was a good contact cleaner. I heard he passed away but still have plenty on hand.

Yes I have found them too. They want about again that much to ship it. I was hoping someone knew of a dealer locally for certified products. I knew one but he no longer sells for them and I don't see him much anymore.

If it was upside down the water would have drained out and it would not have rusted tight. Judging by the paint this tractor has spent a lot of time in a shed. It was a pleasure to mow with now that the wheels are set wide and I got the injection pump fixed.

Sorry about the pic I guess when I took the pic I must have had the iPad down side up.
