this old ih 195 really was driven to this spot and parked....in 1972, thats the tag on the truck, and its sitting on the very 2 lane hiway it made its living on, which was also closed in the early 1970's this portion is now on a friends ranch

Is that somewhere along old route 66? I have seen sections of the old road that looks like that, and worse. But I have not seen a truck parked on it like that.

this on the old cut of us 70 in south central nm about 50 miles west of roswell, not visible now from a road, the "new" us 70 route was cut about 1/2 mile north of this spot

road tractor, it pulled a end dump trailer and low bed machinery trailer , the thing is still fairly complete, engine now locked up ,its a gasser so probably about 150 to 180 hp, but the speed limit on this road was around 45 mph, sections of it still exist today as access roads to farms and ranches, you cant drive it much faster than 45 today its narrow and sharp cornered
