Was Running When Parked II

This is the '54 NAA I bought up near Amarillo in June. All new electrical, gauges, rear rims and tires. Rebuilt the gen. and carb. Runs great and no smoke or leaks. hydraulics work fine. I'll probably start on paint later in Sept.

I think I have a parts catalog that has the NAA Anniversary badge, OEM quality, which would be a nice finish to your restoration.....notice your MF you restored in the garage. If you are interested, I'll dig it up. Why not roll out the Massey and let us have a peek?

Man! I spent a LOT of hours on one of those starting at 6 years old. Spent all summer for many years raking hay, pulling the hay into the barn on the rope trolly, and pulling wagons beside the combine to dump on the go when dad was combining. I couldn't even guess how many thousands of hours. Dad bought it new and my brother still has it. It is the most worn out tractor I've ever seen. I never knew it when both brakes worked. The right only worked in reverse and the left only forward because it mowed all the hay and dad wasn't gentle on the brakes when turning. When I first started driving it I was too light to push the clutch by just standing on it, I had to pull up on the steering wheel to get it down so I could shift. I remember well the day dad caught me sitting on the hood facing backward while raking hay. I can assure everyone that that will never happen again. Lol

Hi, nice tractor! we had a tractor like that but we called it a "jubilee".it had a side mount mower that the blade raised via a cable attached to rh lift arm.Ed Will Oliver BC

If one of the previous owners hadn't messed it up with the second paint job I'd leave it like it is but it's going to be a total strip. Funny thing about names, some folks are correct police about what someone calls a tractor, tool or plow. The best I can figure the NAA's built from late '52 thru '53 are the Golden Jubilee's. The '54's are sometimes called Jubilee's. The '54 has a different nose badge that does not have Jubilee on it. Some parts catalogs say NAA and some say Jubilee. I go with Jubilee.

NAA is the model, regardless of year. The '53's were called
Golden Jubilee in honor of Ford's golden anniversary of production.
Essentially the same tractor, different nose badge and serial number.
If you have a very early '53 the serial number will be located
on the block instead of the transmission housing.
If parts have been replaced it's possible to have one with two
serial numbers or no serial number at all. C'est la vie.
They're one of my favorite tractors and that looks like a keeper!
