I have a 1962 (has the shifter on the dash)John Deere 1010U I'm looking for a loader that fits it I have reached out to my local JD dealer and they have no idea "John Deere doesn't keep specs older than 1996" I have seen pictures of 35,36,37 mounted on a 1010
I have found a 36 loader for sale
Does anybody know
What is the best fit loader for my tractor?
Will a 36 mount to my tractor?
Is the special mounting brackets/hardware to make it fit?

I grew up in the city this is my first tractor so if I sound clueless
It's cause I am

es the 35 or the 36 will work on your tractor. 37 I not sure of I could not find a listing for your tractor. Your best bet is to take a look at the 35 & 36 loaders on the free JD online parts web site to see if the brackets are right for your tractor that are with the loader, one of them shows the loader on a 1010.

Ditto what Jo Bird stated here's a photo of a model 36 on a 1010.
