Don't know if this is the place or not to ask but,I have to put a clutch in my 875 but for right now I need to use it,it's still good enough to finish what I have left to do but was going to order a new one but when I asked them to look it up under application they told me it was a 14.5 inch and I thought they were all 15.5 inch.and if it is the smaller it would probably be a button disk?

If you take out the clutch, take it to a place that sells/service clutch and brake parts. Years ago we went through a few clutches on our Cockshutt SP combines because that metal plate flexed and broke; the clutch was just a hub in a flat metal disk with clutch facings. Cockshutt didn't have that clutch when I needed it so I went to a clutch & brake place. Parts man took one look at it and said: "Looks like 10" Ford truck clutch". It was an exact match, except the Ford clutch had the spring loaded shock link instead of the flat metal plate. We put Ford Clutches in both combines and never had clutch problems after that.

My brother had a Versatile 800. Someone told him that a good mechanic could change a clutch in the 800 in less than half a day. Our nephew has the 800 now; likes it way better than the JD that he used to have.

My supplier shows both 14" and 15.5". Both dual disc "pull" release like heavy truck. Whoever machines you flywheel make sure they check the step dimension.

Both are made. Depends on just which one you have. If you have the 2 inch shaft is is probably the 15 inch. If the 1-3/4 shaft more likely the 14 inch. Though both can be had for the 1-3/4 shaft. I just got the 15 for the 1-3/4 shaft. Got it at Neal's in Grand rapid MI.
