Way OT, 1st grade

Today was my best friends first day of 1st grade. She told me the other day " paw paw I am going to be a grader" lol. I love her so much. To make it somewhat tractor related she goes on tractor rides with me all the time. I am so proud of her. And yes she is sassy.

Grandparents are very special when they are young. Not as important when they become teenagers. So have as many good times as you can and build many memories they may never forget. Life is short and those young years fly by way too fast.

I don't have any grandkids of my own.But I have two little ones in town that call me Grandpa. Roberto is a why kid. Wants to know how everything works. Very smart kid. Helps out in the shop.

Anna knows how to get money out of grandpa. Which I don't mind because she is always trying to help.Love them both as my own.

My first grand-daughter graduated from college last year. Nothing will ever compare to the first grand-daughter.

At least she went willing several years ago the neighbor's kids were starting walking to school (Amish ) they were dragging one boy along and he wasn't happy. I pulled up and asked them if they wanted a ride they all hopped in the back of the pickup and headed to school. When we got there every body hopped off and all of a sudden it dawned on the little guy he was tricked he turned and looked at me with big sad eyes before he could make a break for it one of the girls grabbed him. Eventually he found out about school lunch and the best part of the day recess

Good for you, she'll make you a good buddy! I have three girls. I have a funny first grade story to share--my buddy is my 10 year old, the middle child. She went to half day kindergarten and doesn't really love school. After her first day of ALL day 1st grade she said to me, "Daddy can I go to half day first grade?" HAH!!!!!

hen my first grader got home from her first day we asked her who she met. She said she met Robbie, asked her what was so special about him, she said he knew where everything was like, lunch room ,restroom, classroom etc. We found out later that he was a repeat from last year.

Oh, there's nothing so dear as a granddaughter. My dear

Oh, there's nothing so dear as a granddaughter! (At least for Papaw!) My Allison, now a senior in high school, and I have been the best of buddies almost since the day she was born. I seemed to have a knack with very young children--when even "Mom" couldn't soothe her they called out the "heavy artillery"--Papaw, and we soon had things cool and calm. She and I still have a very close relationship. Don't tell anyone, but she's my favorite!
