Any YT guys or gals going to the Albert City show this weekend. If so I'd like to meet you so I could put a face to a name. I'm going to drive up tomorrow & get a camping spot. I'll volunteer where ever I can Thursday to help get ready & then will be at the show all day Friday. Should we meet at the feature building lets say at 11:00 Just a thought Gerald

Won't be there... but wish we would be!

Hope you guys take some photos to post. Would love to see the world record breaking plowing with horses and mules.

Also pics of Thieman tractors if any are there.

AND anything else you see. LOL

Sweetfeet, I saw this Thieman last Sat at our club show in Spencer Ia. It will be at Albert City also. This particular tractor has a Chevrolet six cylinder engine, where almost all the others I have seen had four cylinder Model A Ford engines.

I can be there Friday. I live four miles away. Let's see, what should I wear? I'll have a camoflauge Case IH hat.

I will (well plan on) pulling in Friday morning with 5 Armstrong engines that were made in Iowa for the Pride of Iowa feature. Looking forward to the show and great weather that is forecast for the weekend...

Albert City puts on a fantastic show. I've been there several times. I'd love to go again but it is just too much walking and standing. My knees and hips just don't like it.

I love those Aultman-Taylors.

I'll be there sometime Friday for the weekend. I will be bringing my unrestored early John Deere AR.

(quoted from post at 06:00:19 08/10/16) I'll be there. We'll be bringing a 1915 Model C Heider on Saturday.

Bob, would this be the Carroll Co Historical Society Heider? If it isn't, could I trouble you for the tag numbers and maybe some pictures? I am trying to assemble a list of surviving Heiders and don't have many pre 1916's on the list so any information is useful.

Paul, yes it is the Heider that's now owned by the Carroll Co. Historical Museum, and was restored by Dr. Richard Collison and Omer Langenfeld.
It will be in the parade on Saturday. Bob

Thanks! I have been out to see that one and visited the HC a few years ago, so already had that ones details on the list.

(quoted from post at 20:25:58 08/10/16) Bob the planners for next years show may want the Heider tractor back next year for the CASE show.

We have not been out to Albert City yet, but if Case is the feature next year and they would like Heider/Rock Island to be included I might be able to talk dad into us bringing one or two. we have don't have a Carroll built Heider, but we do have a running motor cultivator and a couple of the very last tractors Rock Island built before selling out to Case including the only currently known 1936 serial number.
