3 guys, 6 hours, 536 bales alfalfa. Baled, hauled 3 miles home and put up in the hay mow. These 2 kids may well be the best team I ever had ride the rack behind the baler.

In other words they handled 1072 bales. That's a good hard days work for three guys. We used to bale that many in an afternoon but we had six guys, seven if I count the one hauling in.

That is a good days work in anybody's book. We used to do 1,000 to 1500 in that time period with 2 unloading the wagon 3 in the mow and one baling. It also included someone doing the afternoon milking so we didn't have to stop. So that's 7 people total.

Also no brag. My brother, 73, and I, 80, just put up 400+ bales of alfalfa in similar fashion. Maybe I'm not doing too badly at that!
