Another One Of Those Days!

Started mowing weeds this afternoon made 1 lap around the field, & suddenly felt the tractor leaning over. Got out looked, & found a seam ripped about 6 inches on an 18.4-38 tire with the fluid spilling out pretty fast. The tube must have just split a little bit. Thought about putting new ones on a few years ago; but didn't want to spend the money. Well its going to happen now! So here goes $2000 + out the window... Probably.

Ouch! Hope it was on the outside, calcium bath spray is not fun. Dad had the inside split once years ago mowing weeds, couldn't figure out why he got wet for awhile, then he found out why..

I hope my tire jynx hasn't hit you. I have one tractor that has had five flats since January. On Tuesday I had two flats in one field - one ruined front tractor tire and a flat on the moco. The tire people are paying their light bill via my farm.

My dad had a hydraulic line rupture in the right place to drench him in hydraulic oil. Thankfully it wasn't warmed up all the way yet.
