Tractor tires

I need to buy (2) new 6.00-16 front tires for a Ford 8N tractor, Although I would like Firestone's or Good year's my budget won't permit this, With so many aftermarket tires available what would be a good brand of tire? Thanks Dave F.

M.E. Miller has a tire made by speedway $70.00 and TSC also has a tire in that price range and size.

Go on ebay there are always some good deals on tires there. Also go to Tucker Tire and Nebraska Tires they have some good deals most of the time.Craigslist can be a good source for tractor tires too.

BKT or HarvestKing has worked for me.Get a recomendation from your local tire guy.An 8N is a low HP and lightweight tractor that will probabvly see limited service.A cheap 4ply tire would work and will probably rot off in 20 years or so.Same thing with the high dollar Firestone.

'On-line' is probably cheaper than local. But what they dont tell you is when you add shipping and pay the local tire guys to mount them(some tire guys refuse to mount online tires),they cost more than local.I bought two ATV tires last week form the local guy. He mounted them for free.He also fixes a flat on any tire he sells for free. Plus you have no recoarse if there is ever a problem. Buy from your local neighbor, friend. Help him to stay in business.

I've paid good money for tires and they are the same junk as the cheap ones. Just yesterday I had to put a new 11-15 on a hay tractor. I did the other one in December. It's already weather cracked and that tractor is parked inside when it's not running.

I just bought two BKTs 600x16 great tires excellent quality for price I went with the four rib because of thorns haven't been disapointed.
