Weight loss program

So I got rid of my crutches Memorial Day weekend. Started half fast working shortly after that. I was pretty weak after 10 months of laying around and had gained some weight. But between working and doing this in my spare time I've gotten stronger.
Anyway, I got one side of the roof sheathed. And today got the shingles up to the peak. The other side is still wide open so tomorrow I will move the scaffolding and start that side.
This is a tough way to get back in shape though.
My wife mentioned the other night that i was looking thinner. So I stepped on the scale last night and sure enough, I've lost 14 lbs. So if any of you wish to get on a good weight loss program go build yourself an addition. And if you don't see yourself shedding pounds you'll at least see some progress on the house.

Go Ultradog!!

So glad things are looking up! Felt bad seeing you crutchin' it at Le Sueur... knowing it had been a long, long road for you (and Mrs. UD) to travel.

About 10 years ago, husband was laid up with a seriously busted foot for about 4 months... and THAT seemed like a long haul. 10 months is nearly inconceivable.

Addition is looking great! Hope you post some "after" pics. Assuming it might just have one fabulous bathroom in it. :)

Go Ultradog!!

Ultradog MN ,
When I was younger I did the same thing, drop 15-20 in summer working on house, only to gain it back in the winter.
Be careful, when my wife was alive, she would find the weight I lost and them blame me for it.

BIL lost 62#, sister said he switched to miller 64. Try it and see if it works for you too.

Looks good, geo

I never have been able to loose weight but then on the other hand when in boot camp I gained 40 pounds of weight. I stand 6 foot tall and I'm a tad bit under 160lbs so I guess I do not need to loose any weight

At least I ain't the only one. Since shoulder repair I've tore out over a half mile of overgrown fence tools are weed eater handyman jack and chainsaw . I could use the loader but bank on one side and corn on the other. It's along the road so I walk up and work on it till I feel pain then go home rest and back up. Therapist says I'm about 2 weeks ahead then the tell me not to do it . There finally learning they just tell be careful. It's nice to go to bed knowing you done something. I was told once there's two kinds of tired the tired from working and the tired from sitting around and I agreed with him I would rather be tired from working.

When I went through boot camp in the Marine Corps, I grew a half inch in height, gained ten pounds, and lost two inches around my waist.

When I was in boot camp I was 6 foot 2 inches and when I went is I was 135lbs and came out of boot camp 175lbs.
As I have gotten older I have lost 2 inches but then again back surgery will cause that along with degenerative disk disease. But my V.A. doctors say I am just right as for how tall I am and my weight

Thanks.
It's a one horse, er man deal here. I had neighbors to help me lift the walls and had friends help with the trusses but the rest I've done by myself.
