We use it, and it's cut the bogus calls by about 90%. The way it works is that you need a phone service (like FiOS) that will simultaneously ring a second number, and you set it up so that it rings your phone and NOMOROBO's too. If the call is coming from a number on their blacklist they automatically pick up after one ring and then hang up. The result is that every time one of the bad guys calls you will hear one ring.

In the past when I had some calling on a regular basis, I would save the number, name it as "X" or "Z" any single letter so when they called again I wouldn't answer.
Didn't work, they would just call from another number or block the number as unknown. Maybe NOMOROBO has some equipment that can see through the fake numbers, but many of them are mobile, set up and use a different phone, different place every day.

Most all of the numbers displayed on your caller ID by robocallers are fake. Either way, since most folks do not answer blocked numbers, they display something that at least LOOKS legitimate.
I have been using this service for about 6 months now, and it is GREAT!! It does a great job of filtering out the calls that I do not want.

They must have gotten tired of calling me. I always punch 1 and when they answer I ask for their credit card number. If they don't give it to me I ask how can I help them if they don't give me their number. You called me must mean that YOU need to have YOUR interest rate lowered. Please have it ready next time YOU call! Now I get the one that says my computer is sending out errors and they can hook me up with a repairman if I call their number.
