Neat old truck

Saw this old truck with a PTO driven blower
on the side to unload wheat. Never saw
anything like it before, and I'm not sure
what niche it filled but it probably beat
scooping.

Never seen anything like it. Most were a hole in the side of the box to shovel the grain out. My uncle did get a pto powered auger to load the truck using the truck's pto but I don't know how successful that was.

We had a grain hopper wagon with a blower on it. You'd pull up in front of a granery and it'd blow the grain into the top door of the bin. Didn't have a grain auger so that's how we filled the old square wooden bins. I expect the setup on this truck had a similar function.

Ok, that makes sense. Confused me because
the blower is only about 6' high but a small
granary may have been where it was used.
