Anybody live near Steamboat Springs, I am thinking of going back one more time. I was here first when I was 6 years old. That was in Oct. 1941 just before WW2 started in Dec. 41. Any advise, I plan to go between school start date and hunting season.
 
Was there a couple of weeks back. Little more crowded and commercialized than I like. Locals said it was the busiest summer season they could remember. Also was a little hotter than normal. Friendly town and helpful people that I was in contact with.

I was just in Delta July 23 for a memorial service for a long-time friend. He lived out on 1300 road off Hwy 348. What area are you in? We drove out from Oregon; 2600 miles in five days.
 
You should have called!! I'm on 2100 road,in the Peach Valley area. 4 miles due east of Delta High School.I know the area you were at. Who died?
 
Good friend of mine owned an aircraft parts business. It's down by the car wash by Safeway and Wally World. His three sons run the business now. He passed in January but it was tough for everyone to get there and since he loved the 4th of July they had a second event for people who couldn't make it. About 300 attended the event out at his farm. Next trip out I'll look you up.

I have an uncle that lives in steamboat. We go there every summer for the rocky Mountain mustang roundup. Lots of houses and condos to rent. Beautiful town aimed towards tourism. Fish creek falls is a must see. Very relaxing for us. We look coward to going ever year
