Zetor Tractor

Looking for an opinion on Zetor tractors. While all opinions have value, would prefer to hear from someone with experience with this type of tractor.

While mine is not the Zetor brand, it is that type of tractor. Mine carries the CaseIH badge. Probably comes out of the same factory. I love it. But it is the roughest riding tractor I have ever owned.
And whoever designed the seat ought to be slapped. As far as reliability, over 1000 hrs. and counting. Had a relay go bad which caused it to randomly quit dead cold. $37.00 and no problems since.

I have bought and sold several of them and own a 40 horse ''Zebra'' tractor that is an early 80's
Zetor, Southwest Louisiana happens to be an area where they had a lot of popularity so there are
quite a few around. I have always dealt with the more or less basic models, 40-85 HP tractors with
few frills, they have good dependable hydraulics, PTO operation and engines. The basic model are
easy to sell because they are reliable and low priced bushhogging, discing, raking and food plot
tractors. When you start looking at the higher end tractors, MFWD, cabs, loaders, etc. it seems
like all brands are high priced so in that upper end of the tractor market most people stick with
Green,Red,Blue or Orange.

Have one where I work, don"t remember the model number but it's a 60 HP size. Anymore we just use it to plow snow in the winter and smooth out the parking area in the summer. has a cab with heat and AC, Both work great. In 6 years have had no problems with it.

had a Zetor 3340 for year. Stout tractor but always something going wrong so got rid of it; traded back to the dealer. Worse thing was when a banjo fitting on steering hydraulics came loose on the road & lost control completely. Lucky I hadn't got up to highway speed as I had just stopped to spread a neighbors dirt pile. If I hadn't of stopped there, hard to tell where I might've ended up.

I had a Zebra 3520 which is a Zetor built in India for about 10 years was a pretty good tractor about the easiest starting diesel I have ever owned and extremely fuel efficient.

My neighbor has a Zetor cab tractor he utilizes to cut/bale hay with. He stated AC quit operating and was quoted very high $$$$ to repair so he removed the cab doors. Zetor are built in Brno, Czech Republic. JD marketed a few models built by Zetor back in about the 90's.

We had a 7011 before we moved(sold). It was a tough tractor. And very lean on fuel. We recently bought a 3320.
Still very economical. In this style it uses the same parts for several sizes so that dealers don't have to
keep a large inventory. I've really never cared for the PTO clutch arrangement. the lever faces towards the
back with the release button on the end. So I have to twist and used right hand on left side of tractor. The
lever is only used to engage the clutch then place it in gear. different lever between legs on floor.
Dealerships are few. Not many mechanics know about them. Buy it real cheap, resale is not so good.

I never had one and never will..... There were several in the area tho and I don't know of a single one that got more than 5k hours on an
engine without a major rebuild. If they worked hard... even less. Most of them were also fixing brakes on them fairly frequently. Beyond that
I don't think they had a lot of problems with them... they were fairly good on fuel etc. But that's true of most plain jane tractors' of
60's-70's technology. The MFWD models also took 40 acres to turn because of the design... Again, these were 50/60/8011 and 45 models. None of
the guys I know of that have/had them will ever admit they're junk but after the first dose they didn't buy any more either..... and not
because they paid less for the Kubota's they have now.

i worked at a place that sold zetors they had only been a dealer for a short while when i started. zetor had made
tractors for deere but they were only sold in mexico and south america zetor also made the agri power tractors for
menards. the tractors had heavy engine rods and the transmission gears were also heavy . they did have some problems
with the clutch and brake master and slave cylinders leaking but they were not hard to replace. there were some
problems with starting in cold weather or when they sat for a long time usually a few pumps on the primer helped but
zetor came out with an electric fuel pump to help with the starting. the dealer sold mostly 35 to 75 hp and most were
loader tractors. zetor has two large parts depots one in texas and one in pennsylvania so parts are not a problem and
they will sell direct to the owner but the dealers get a price break. the head trouble shooter is in pennsylvania and
was factory trained he has an accent but is understandable he will usually answer any questions or will get back as
soon as he finds out what the answer is i left 6 years age so that is what i remember.

We had a 4911 for years and loved it,I saw it at a
local dealer last summer and was still running.
