anyone driving one of the new 5.0 v-8 turbo diesel Nissan pickups? Should get great mileage, not a big cubic inch engine. Think engine was originally built for Dodge before the economy went south.Remember our vets!!!!!!!

Those trucks are awesome, I got to look one over from top to bottom at the state fair last summer and was very impressed. I'd consider one if I was willing to own a newer diesel..

I got to ride in one in the early development stages but that's been awhile and moved to bigger engines. That thing sure would run.

Friend works at a local dealer and he has borrowed one a few times , they are peppy but I am concerned it maybe like the old 903 v8 cummins built , just like the straight 6 better.

A friend of mine was lucky enough to get to use one of the early production models for a week or so on his farm. Hauled cows and some equipment on a gooseneck with it. He said it ran great! Good power. It is a half ton truck I believe. When they came out and the price was made known he went and bought a new ton truck. They are pretty proud of them I guess. I myself would rather have the straight 6.

Just looked at some independent tests on a 100 mile loop and it got 16.7mpg. The diesel option is $5k more than the 5.6 gas engine. Diesel is a 5.0, 310hp, 555#s torque.....gas is 5.6, 317hp, 385#s torque.
