Selenoid grounding screw question

The selenoid grounding screw fell into the housing of the flywheel on a D17. What a great location for a gap in the housing. If I can't get it out with a magnet from the bottom then what?

Good chance when you remove the inspection cover from the bottom of the housing, the screw will be resting on it.

I agree with Cole. With all the room in there, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's been a long time, and I can't remember what it was, but I had a similar experience with my JD 4020D, power shift. There is a little cover up on the side I had off. I started it up, heard a little crunch, and it spit out the screw, washer, or whatever it was.

Any dropped tool will roll under to the exact geometric center of the work bench. HOWEVER, here's two ways how I get a oil pan drain plug out of a 5 gallon bucket of oil after I inadvertently let it fall in. ONE; Get a big magnet on a stick, wrap it in a dry cleaner's bag, you can dispose of later, and stick it down and find the plug and lift it out. TWO; Work the magnet around the outside of the bucket, try to find the plug, and slowly work it up the side and to the top, reach and get the plug. Any chance Method TWO would work, somehow?

Is there suppose to be a cover on that?
I got it fishing - 15 tries with a magnet. It was hung up at 11 o'clock.
