OT boat fixed

My boat died out on the lake last week. I went through the things I could without a diagnostic tool, so took it to the marina in Dubuque today. One hour of service, a new IAC (idle air controller), and it is running. I still do not know why it would have shut down while at 3500 rpm on a cruise because of this, but it did. I guess that is just when it failed and the computer was not happy.

BTW, it looks like JD Seller has a 4440 for sale.

David, I was just on my way to post a message asking about the boat! LOL

That is strange the IAC would shut it down. Maybe it shorted to ground?

We have the same problem. With standby generators. So many sensors that have to talk to each other. One doesn't talk and the whole system shuts down.
