RAIN!!!!!

No rain at our place for 5 months. It has rained all around us during this years monsoons but not a drop here. Last night we got 2-1/2 inches. It has been so dry around here that most of the rain has been soaked up. Now the grass and wild flowers will pop up.

There was a pretty sizable storm cell lining up to the west of us an hour and a half ago but it dried out as it came into view. Not a good situation this summer at all and one of the benefits of being in the Finger Lakes region is supposed to be moisture is sufficient for agriculture here.

man I feel for you folx ,..seems we get a good watering every 3 days , here southern ind. as a norm, we have seen prolonged dry spells. especially summer monthes,but not this yr,. I recall a dry fall aromd 1988 that went clean into January , be4, we got a little snow ,.,. winterwheat did not even sprout til snow came ..

Rain? What's that? None in our corner of the East Valley. They did record 2/100ths at the airport in Phx. I think the San Tan mountains divert the showers around us.

I must be just a little north of your seems like all the rain stays just south of me. Did get a good soaker today and one last week but before that it was real dry.

Richard, we lived in Phoenix in the mid-1980s, last year there it rained 3.25" for the entire year.
And, we used to visit a Cousin near Elfrida, AZ - it was a nice area!
