I was raised in the area and still have family at CottonwoodFalls.Cant visit as often as I'd like.I would move back in a heartbeat if I were able.

The Cottonwood Falls in the Flint Hills of Kansas is in Chase County, Ks. Don't know of another one.
Delta REd will have to clarify what state if not KS.

If you ever get the chance drive Route US 522 from Front Royal to Sperryville and then Route 231 to Madison great farming scenes like that all the way,but be careful to obey the 25MPH
sign in Flint Hill or The Man might be waiting for you sitting in the bank parking lot(LOL)

I stand corrected, but could just as easily be in the Flint Hills area of Kansas, where Cottonwood Falls is located. Is there a Cottonwood Falls in Virginia?

TF you do know this area. That drive to Madison is beautiful. I have a ton of photos from that stretch. There has been a Fordson sitting by the garage in Banco for years. Looks to be complete waiting for someone to save it.
You are right about the speed limit in FH, the saying at the Griffin Tavern is "watch out for the man in brown at the Horse and Hound"

No Cottnwood Falls that I know of, but if Kansas looks like this I want to visit there.

I've been in Cottonwood Falls,KS many times....When I first saw the above pictures I too almost thought that they were from the Kansas Flint Hills area but then realized that they weren't..

Love that sunlit glow... hard to catch it - by the time you run and grab the camera, it can be long gone.

My wife's family farmed NE of Manquin and we've made the trip back to Va several times. Most beautiful and 'gentle' country I've ever seen!

No kidding, I carry mine with me all the time. Turning off the road into my drive I will set it on my lap. So many times I have come across animals, bear, bucks and even Bald Eagles. Kids playing on my lawn!!
