Last night a couple of friends and I took our tractors into the Heart of Illinois Fair in Peoria. Me on the 1066 given it all she had. I didnt win but had a blast trying!

Hi Bill/Eric, nice to hear from you as you always had interesting conversation's on farming. Send or post pictures of your operation , they were enjoyable to view. Myself growing up on a farm and then moving to the city, brings back lot's of memories and nice to see how farming has changed over the years. (For nicer improvements) Cheers, Murray

Nice to know you are still out there. I've been wondering about you. Looks like the old 10 is giving a good go at it. They are tough old horses aren't they.

Oh I stop in and check on you guys most days. Just kind of a quick check things out. Everything is good on the farm. Wrigley is doing great. Crops look awesome. Cattle doing great. Life is good. Even my Cubs are good!

Glad things are going well for you. I bet your really did have a ball pulling your IH 1066. It is addictive pulling tractors. I always like hearing about your an Wrigley's adventures.

Doesn't look like much smoke, LOL. Don't all you guys that pull straight out of the field tractors drive them through your shop on the way to the trailer, and swap in the big turbo and pump? One guy used to always win the heaviest two classes at the local fair with his 4440, before they made wheelie bars mandatory. He actually drove straight to the pull from the field, but the tractor dynoed at 225 HP.

Its stock front to back. I have a old drawbar off of a 4630 I slip in it and I opened the pump and set it at 210. Not
many true stock tractors in these deals. Most have some tweaking somewhere.

Bet mine was the only one that did any moldboard plowing this spring!

A guy has to get off the farm once in awhile and have some fun...It looks like you had the 1066 balanced well..

Ours had been a pulling/farming tractor. When the previous owner traded it in on a new Ford Genesis, they turned the pump down to stock settings. People who knew it said 200 hp. Easily. It was quickly climbing past 170 at a high idle when the dyno operator realized he was already at almost 150% rated power and the governor hadn't opened yet. Think it had a DT466 crank in it. You didn't weight it, you let her spin, or things broke.

I really miss that tractor.
